Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-08
Cookies and similar browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) are small pieces of data kept by your browser. This page lists what CoolPan uses.
1. Strictly necessary
These make the service work and do not need consent:
- Sign-in session (cp_sid) — keeps you signed in; up to 90 days (30 days without use). In Studio: Amazon Cognito / AWSELBAuthSessionCookie… cookies.
- cp_user, cp_nav — let the public learning pages show your avatar and menu when you are signed in; 30 days.
- cp_intent, cp_pending_intent — remember an action you started on a public page (for example "save words") until you sign in; up to 7 days.
- Browser storage for your settings: interface language, theme, text size, menu layout, exercise and lesson preferences, and progress hints on screens.
2. Analytics — without cookies
- PostHog (EU servers) — counts visits and feature use without cookies and without storing anything on your device; teachers’ sessions may be recorded with all text and input masked. Analytics data is kept up to 12 months.
The public learning pages count anonymous page views with an identifier that exists only while the page is open and is never stored.
3. Embedded videos
Videos in materials are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set YouTube cookies until you play a video.
4. Questions
You can clear cookies in your browser at any time — the service will then ask you to sign in again. Questions: support [at] coolpan.com.
