Terms of Use

1. The service

CoolPan is a language-learning platform: notebooks of words with spaced repetition, texts and exercises (some generated with AI), lessons and homework that teachers prepare for their students, live lessons and public learning materials. Features may change as the product develops.

2. Your account

You need an account for most features. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us at support [at] coolpan.com if you suspect misuse. If you are under 16, use CoolPan only with the permission of a parent or guardian, or through a teacher who has that permission.

3. Teachers and students

• A teacher may invite students, prepare lessons and homework for them and see their results. A student who accepts an invitation agrees that the teacher sees their work in that teacher's lessons.
• Teachers are responsible for having the right to add the students they add (for a minor: the permission of a parent or guardian) and for the information they enter about them.
• When a teacher and a student unlink (either side can do it), the student keeps copies of the materials the teacher gave them, and the teacher keeps their own originals.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to what you create and upload. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display and transmit it only as needed to provide CoolPan to you and to the people you share it with (for example your students). Content you publish publicly may be shown to anyone until you remove it.

Upload only content you have the right to use. Do not upload copyrighted material (for example textbook pages) beyond what the law allows you to use for teaching, and do not share it publicly without permission.

5. AI-generated content

Some texts, exercises, explanations, translations, audio and images are produced automatically and can contain mistakes. Check them before relying on them; teachers remain responsible for the materials they give their students.

6. Acceptable use

• No illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual or violent content, and nothing that harms minors.
• No attempts to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or to access other people's accounts or data.
• No use of CoolPan to send spam or to collect other users' personal data.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

7. Price

CoolPan is currently free, with usage limits on some AI features. If we introduce paid plans, we will announce the price and terms in advance; nothing becomes paid without your explicit choice.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep CoolPan available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence or harm to life and health, or your rights as a consumer.

9. Ending the use

You can stop using CoolPan at any time and ask us to delete your account at support [at] coolpan.com. We may end or suspend access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; for significant changes we will notify you in the app in advance. These terms are governed by the law of Georgia, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where they live. Questions: support [at] coolpan.com.
